“À LA PÊCHE À LA LIGNE, L’ASTICOT AUSSI EST INNOCENT” is the first solo show of the Italian artist Luca Resta at the 22.48 m² gallery in Paris.
The exhibition project develops from the catalogue TSORPM #7—Vol. 1 created for the occasion and which testifies to more than ten years of research during which the artist has shaped various collections of disposable objects and food packaging.
The exhibition is articulated within a “mise en abyme” where the visual vocabulary specific to ordinary places of consumption is declined in materials such as marble, Nordic gold and scotch—which are the privileged components of the creative practice of the artist. Through a series of sculptural proposals that take advantage of the hybridization between design and display, Resta proposes a research focused on the exhibiting archetype that conveys a profound message on the contemporary culture of the consumption of images and how it affects social attitudes.
The title of the exhibition refers to a sentence taken from the film by Philippe Fourastié “La bande à Bonnot” (1968).
