Géraud Soulhiol, LE HUBLOT (extrait #1), 2018,
video, montage of satellite photographs (Google Earth), 36'36 "
Géraud Soulhiol: "I am fascinated by relief maps. In 2012, the Grand Palais exhibited masterpieces from the collection of relief maps established from Louis XIV to Napoleon III. In a sense, it acts as the ancestor of Google Earth ©. Le Hublot, presented in its first version during the exhibition "La Vue" at the gallery 22,48m2 in 2013, drifted our gaze onto this digital map, built upon a multiplicity of satellite images.
